Beta reader reaction

It seems Jason Luke has a certain hit on his hands. ‘The light house’, his upcoming New Adult Contemporary Romance novel, is rich with emotion. Beautifully written, intriguing characters and a unique storyline you can’t help be swept up in the emotional roller coaster ride that plays within the pages of this book.

I found myself lost within the romance of this story. Strong and realistic characters, a storyline that not only holds intrigue but mystery and humor as well. ‘The light house’ by Jason Luke is a love story unlike any I have ever read.

A story so captivating I read this book in one sitting. Heavy on emotion, wonderfully complex characters and a compelling storyline. ‘The light house’ by Jason Luke is a love story that just melted into my heart and mind.

Jason Luke’s new Adult Contemporary New Romance ‘The light house’ has it all. An emotionally charged story that mixes love, wanting, desire, mystery, humor and hope.

Jason Luke has written a true masterpiece in "The light house"! This epic love story touched my heart and my soul, made me feel emotions so deep, that I have no doubt that it will stay with me for a very long time! Love, hate, grief, joy, tragedy and humor....."The light house" has it all!

I’ve read every one of Jason Luke’s BDSM and erotica novels, and let me tell you straight – fans of his writing will absolutely love ‘The light house’. Quite simply, this is his best book, his best story – ever.

‘The light house’ is an absorbing story of love and redemption; one you won’t forget. In this new novel, far more mainstream than his previous ones, Jason Luke paints with words just as artfully as his main character, Blake McGrath, brings seascapes to life with oil and canvas. This book is beautiful, brimming with emotion, with characters and settings so real you won’t be able to put it down.

I knew going in that this book would be beautifully written—Jason Luke is one of the best modern writers around. I knew that because he wrote it, I would love it. I subscribe to his daily blog, jasonluke.typepad.com, so I knew he had it in him to make a reader feel a deep range of emotion. However, romance not being my normal genre of choice, I wasn’t sure it would be entirely my thing. I was wrong—very wrong. This novel transcends “genre”. It’s a love story, I’ll agree with that. A contemporary romance if you want to be precise. But…it’s a top-notch novel under any label and the best thing I’ve read in a long time. It blew me away. I picked it up late one Friday night, fell asleep (begrudgingly) with my Kindle in my hands reading it, then woke up the next morning and dove immediately into it again over coffee and never came up for air until I was left reeling from the whirlwind. It’s a suspenseful page-turner, jam-packed with emotion, rich with characters you feel in your soul, and a giant, drooling beast of a dog that will make you laugh out loud throughout the story.

It’s hard to discuss the skillfully told story without giving away too much, but I can tell you that Blake McGrath is an artist who has lost his way through tragedy. He’s given up his craft and withdrawn from the world, taking residence in a remote beach house in coastal Maine. Connie Dixon is an art dealer escaping her own demons of the past when she happens upon a painting that changes both of their lives forever. Like other Jason Luke novels, this book twists and turns—you’ll gasp more than once. What surprised me with this book, however, was the well-rounded, relatable characters, as well as the depth of their emotion. You FEEL Blake and Connie; they will never leave you. You’ll shed tears, yes, but this isn’t a tearjerker; it’s a story of redemption, of hope. Love is lost, but it is also found. I’m so glad I didn’t get hung up on genre labels with this one—The light house is his best novel yet, and given his prior work, that is no small statement. I can’t wait to see what’s next—this book has proven to me that Jason Luke is not just a great erotica writer, not just a great romance writer, but a truly great writer. Fans of Nicholas Sparks will love this book, but truly it transcends that. I would recommend this book to anyone, male or female, romance lover or not, looking for an all-around great read. Give this one a chance and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

The light house A love story eBook Jason Luke Reviews

This book was the third I read by this author and again he did not disappoint! The characters Connie & Blake were so well written. The things I really loved about this story is that Connie was a strong lead character. She stood up for her self and confronted issues that were in her life. A striving artist that couldn't paint very well (according to Blake and the demon in New York). On vacation in Maine she found a shop out of the way and found one of Blake's paintings, it moved her so deeply that she had to find the artist.
I absolutely LOVED her mother that is in the nursing home, I laughed so hard out loud at her antics with the cat!
Blake WOW the character was self isolated and the artist that Connie needed to find. He imprisoned himself at his home in Maine because of a condition that would end up robbing him. He meets Connie when she gets in an accident in his "driveway".
Blake lost all passion to paint because of a horrible loss. Connie inspired him to paint again, but not a seascape but her. He also teaches her different painting techniques (which make me now want to learn to paint LOL) She agreed.
Through a series of events Connie confronts Blake and pushes him to knock some sense into him.
The descriptions of the area, how a painter looks at so much, the detail of the writing was outstanding. My largest compliment to the author is that the characters were each strong and didn't wait weeks or months to admit there flaws and actually listened to each other.
Well done Jason!!!!
The Light House by Jason Luke is a true love story. If you're expecting sexy steamy sex scenes like Jason has wrote in his past books, you're not going to find it here. What you'll find is a highly emotional, touching and loving story about two people coming together. First as friends, then as lovers. Connie is struggling in her personal life and she wants to start her dream career, but she needs a little help.
Blake is a talented artist, people describe his paintings as  masterpieces. The paintings are so detailed you feel the emotions in his work. Jason does the same exact thing with his writing. His descriptions of the rain, the water, the sand and the light makes you believe you are standing right next to Blake and Connie. So when your standing in the sand, looking at the house with the lights on in every room, and you feel a nudge on your leg, and its Ned wanting a pat on his head, you just know you're in one of Jason Luke's masterpieces.
This is a contemporary romance. I read lots of romance and this one is going in my "best liked" folder with many other great reads. This book was written very well in the third person narration set in the present by a great male romance author-Jason Luke. This book is about a woman who is tired of being used and after stumbling upon some rare art and artist who had left the art world, decides it's time for her to fulfill her dreams. He after having some tragedies has become a recluse but she brightens his life and they develop a great romance. he has so much to deal with and this book takes you in directions you don't see coming.
I really enjoyed this book. I smiled, I cried, I loved how the author takes you through the emotional journey with the characters, and how detailed the author was when he was teaching her painting. I have read other works from this author and I definitely will be reading more.
