UPDATE I READ THE EPILOGUE: To get the full measure of this book you absolutely MUST read the entire epilogue. The Epilogue is the BIG PAYOFF for having read the whole book and it makes the title of the book come to life in the sweetest way ever. Talk aabout a sweet payoff this book NINE FINGERS has it in spades! This was easily one of the very best werewolf themed books I've read in a long time. If I have one problem with this book it is that it ended way too soon. I wanted this book to go on and on. I enjoyed the characters they all felt well fleshed out and real. Another reviewer felt the story was corny but I must disagree completely. The story had a down home spun country feel but, it was nice. You can tell the author was a country boy because; he got the small town feel just right. The unique take on the werewolf lore was also refreshing with the blue eyes \ yellow eyes \ red eyes thing.
I honestly could not stop reading this book. I found myself reading it at night, on the bus, on my paratransit ride to work, during my breaks anytime I had a free moment my head was buried in this book. Yes it was that good. Oh yeah I love most werewolf themed books but I have also read enough werewolf books to know the difference between good werewolf books and great ones like this. I mean reading Nine Fingers was like eating a extremely satisfying meal. I can't honestly say enough good about this book. I can't share anything in the book because; I don't want to ruin it for anyone who loves such things.
If I had one thing I would change about the book it is the way it begins. The forward prologue and all the rest of that stuff doesn't really flow into the story. The beginning of the book made the story have an artifical quality to it that prevents one easily suspending beleif and getting absorbed in the werewolf tale. This is a minor thing but, it needs to be mentioned. The other thing is the book jumps between Ward and the bad guys a lot and being autistic it was at times disconcerting but, I soon got into the groove and could keep pace with it. In time the jumps between story lines became easy to manage almost to the point of being second nature.
I suggest that this author please write additional books about werewolves as he really has a flair for it. It was fun reading about werewolves in a rural setting shared by an author who knows intimately the ebb and flow of rural life. I never knew country life could be so much fun. Oh and finally where are my manners. Thank you for writing this awesome werewolf book dude. Please write more werewolf books because; I have more money and would love spending it on your next werewolf book. Only bad thing I wished the little girl had been turned into a werewolf in the final battle because it would have been awesome to see things end as we said good bye to a family of my kind of people (Werewolves!)

Nine Fingers edition by Tony Bowman Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
I've been a sucker for a good werewolf yarn, since I read The Howling back in the 70's. This book is VERY GOOD!
If you like werewolf or horror type books, this is defintely worth your time and $$$. Check it out.
I really enjoyed Nine Fingers. The good characters are very much loved and respected. Lots of good werewolf action and suspense. I'm very excited to see the next sequel in this amazing installment. New wolf packs to see and challanges up ahead.
Excellent story. The only thing that kept me from giving five stars was because there was no break or space or anything to indicate a character POV change. It went from one paragraph to the next which was confusing at first and then irritating thereafter.
Other than that, I really loved the writing, the storyline, and the character development.
A great werewolf story. Fast paced and a lot of action. Ward is a beast of a werewolf who is hunting rogue werewolves that have gone bad. Such a great story, and this is just the appetizer. Tony is setting the reader up for the full course meal. Thanks Tony!!
This is one of the best werewolf novels I've read [and I've read a lot of them]. I found myself hunting for a sequel on my kindle when this book was indelibly etched into my brain and assimilated into my personal werewolf mythos.
You shouldn't pass this up. Not many editing issues, which is rare I'm finding for kindle books. Great character development and the plot has plenty of interest-grabbing elements. Action is top shelf. Highly recommended.
I love werewolf books. I don't necessarily like the romance most of the books have in them. This book was also a sort of romance but it wasn't the focus of the story line. It was slow at first and I was afraid it was going to be predictable however it picked up and drew me in. It was a fun book.
u couldn't have a better love story, action orientated with good and bad were wolves.
tony has written a smooth, flowing story that grabs u from the first and doesn't let go until the end
this is a story about a man who becomes a werewolf against his wishes when he was 17 years
now he is 35 and hunts the bad wolfs who want to eat and maim people.
now the plot thickens when the book starts with our good wolf falling in love with a woman who has small farm and is raising a 11 year daughter, who is on the precious side( they also have dog named Brutus who plays a secondary role.
Tony does a great job of moving the story between the good /bad guys and the love interest
the way he writes is effortless that u feel as though u are sitting on the shoulders of the people involved in the book
plenty of action, some gore, little sex- all of this was well written
Look at the other reviews- this man has talent
I have been reading for a long, long time and I respect up and coming talent
enough said , now im getting ready to settle down and start Vale Hollow
p.s. Tony so kindly informed there would be sequels-cant wait!!!!
